Steven Rosenberg, Ph.D.
CEO & President
Dr. Rosenberg received his doctorate in School Psychology from Kent State University in 1977. Upon graduation, Steve wanted to impact schools in the most efficient and significant ways possible. In 1977 he and several colleagues founded PSI, then known as Prevention: Systems Intervention. This predecessor to RTI and systems wide programming became PSI’s entrance into schools in the early days. PSI’s Service parameters varied from standard related service models to programmatic and professional development. Starting with just a few schools in the late ’70s we now serve over 500 in Ohio and Michigan with a very wide range of services and service models. PSI has over 1,000 staff members serving students and school communities.
MEREDITH SITKO
Director of Strategy and Operations
Meredith Sitko is the Director of Strategy and Operations. Her responsibilities include managing all PSI activities on a micro and macro level. Meredith’s passion is to refine and streamline our current practices while expanding our infrastructure and program offerings to help broaden and strengthen PSI services nationwide.
Meredith originally trained as a Registered Nurse and then a Certified Health Education Specialist. Additionally, Meredith is a licensed teacher in Ohio as well as a Certified School Nurse. Her unique background and 15+ plus years at PSI has given her the opportunity to start as a school-based nurse to a Health Supervisor, then to a supervisor, followed by 6 years as the Director of the PSI School Health Department. She became a member of the PSI Executive Team and now serves in her current role as Director of Strategy and Operations.
With the different specialty teams at PSI, Meredith has worked with her colleagues to refine current programs, to broaden new initiatives, preparing PSI for its next phase of growth and development. Training and Education programs, new programming initiatives, new partnerships, expanded roles and functions for current staff are all part of PSI’s strategic plan in the post COVID education world.
Meredith is a graduate of Kent State University and is a mom of 3 young children who keep her on her toes!
Tammy Lyman
Director of Finance
Tammy is the Director of Finance at PSI. Her responsibilities include all financial aspects of PSI programming, Additionally, Tammy oversees a full team of finance support personnel who are engaged in billing, payroll, payables, receivables, contracts and services. Tammy has also served on the PSI Executive Team and continues to collaborate on PSI’s strategic planning.
Tammy is a graduate of The University of Akron and has worked for Fortune 500 companies in a variety of administrative and financial positions. She has been with PSI for over 15 years, which has prepared her for her current responsibilities.
Educational Support Services
Robin Caston-Bert, M.A., CCC-SLP
Co-Director of PSI’s Educational Support Services, Non Public Schools
As the Co-Director of PSI’s growing Educational Support Services, Robin is responsible for all PSI’s educational services delivered to the many non-public schools we serve. Robin has helped grow this department to include hundreds of well trained, appropriately credentialed, and dedicated staff providing a wide range of services.
One of Robin’s many talents include her thorough understanding and working knowledge of the many local, state, and federal funding sources our client schools participate in. This is an immense help to our school and district clients ensuring compliance with the many complicated rules governing these services.
Robin directs our operations with many funding sources including non-public auxiliary services, Jon Peterson/Autism Scholarship services and the extensive parameters of Title services. She works closely with school staff, public school administrators, building principals and parents to fully utilize these programs our partner schools value.
Robin’s keen attention to detail has aided many PSI staff and schools in learning the laws surrounding both auxiliary and scholarship services. She looks forward to the planning and execution of PSI’s Educational Support Services to help students receive the support they need and deserve.
Robin is a graduate of Kent State University and originally trained as a licensed SLP. Robin has been with PSI for over 20 years before serving in her current role, she worked at a Speech/Language Field Supervisor with PSI.
Some of the services Robin is responsible for in the non-public schools include Psychology in the schools, Speech Language Pathology, a wide range of teaching positions, PT, OT, TESOL instruction, Behavior Specialists and PSI Connect, our virtual arm.
Robin works in collaboration with Amanda Mooney, her Co Director of Educational Services.
Robin is a long-time beekeeper and enjoys harvesting honey from the bees. (She’s never been bit yet!)
Amanda Mooney, Psy. S.
Co-Director of PSI’s Educational Support Services, Charter and Public School Services
Amanda Mooney is the Director of PSI’s Public and Charter Schools Educational Support Services. Amanda has close to 20 years experience as a school psychologist and many years serving as part of the PSI leadership team.
Amanda is very experienced with special education rules, regulations and practices on the local, state and federal levels. She has earned the trust of the public and charter school districts groups that PSI supports, be they new partner schools or long standing partners. All of our leadership team is dedicated, as Amanda is, to providing the most efficient, sound and cost effective services to all the schools served by PSI.
Amanda has actively facilitated and participated in building level MTSS (Response to Intervention) implementation and she has helped to devise a benchmark and progress monitoring system utilized building wide. While at PSI, Amanda has provided direct field supervision for Psychologists, Counselors, Social Workers, OTs, PTs, TESOL instructors, and a wide range of teachers. She has also assisted with the oversight of special education services delivered by PSI staff in charter, non-public and public schools.
Amanda is the Director of PSI’s Charter and Public School Services. She works alongside Robin Caston-Bert, who is the Director of PSI’s NonPublic Educational Support Services. Together these two highly trained professionals oversee PSI’s Educational Services.
Christine Worthington
Senior Program Manager, PSIConnect, Summer Learning, University Clinical Experience, Employee Engagement
Chris brings her experience of over 25 years as a School Speech-Language Pathologist to her role as the Senior Manager of many integral programs for PSI. Chris’s passion and excitement running each of the programs she is responsible for contributes to their continued success.
Chris is expert in the provision of all PSI’s virtual services through PSI Connect, including speech, OT, ESL, Psych and counseling. Chris has an incredible ability to connect with students and professionals to evaluate their needs when designing program implementation plans. This strength also contributes to her passion for her work as a lead on the PSI Employee Engagement Team.
For more than 20 years before serving in her current role, Chris worked as a PSI Speech-Language Field Supervisor. Chris is a graduate of Cleveland State University and is an avid football fan, with several family members working in collegiate athletics.
Kristy Dolsak
Title Program Manager
As the Title Program Manager at PSI, Kristy is an expert on this federal law and Title I requirements. Kristy is an Intervention Specialist by training and has worked with PSI’s non-public schools for many years; first in the classroom as an Intervention Specialist, next as the non-public school coordinator, and now as the Title Program Manager at PSI. She enjoys helping schools navigate this funding source to provide eligible students with as much support in the approved areas of reading, math, and counseling as is possible. Additionally, Kristy assists with implementation of JP/Autism Scholarship and Auxiliary Services programs at PSI.
Kristy is a graduate of Cleveland State University and the mom of two young daughters who keep her busy.
Milagros Zavalia
Ed.S, NCSP, Team Leader- PSI Español
Milagros is a Bilingual School Psychologist who recently joined the PSI team. She was born in Argentina and moved to Miami, Florida at a young age. Milagros studied Psychology at Florida State University for undergrad and received her Education Specialist degree (EdS) in School Psychology from Florida International University. She has experience working with people from diverse backgrounds, and ages, ranging from preschool to the elderly. Milagros enjoys cooking and reading on her free time. She is fairly new to Cleveland and excited to explore the new city!
School Health Services
Carly W. Wilbur, M.D., FAAP
Medical Director and Board-Certified Pediatrician, University Hospitals, Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital
Dr. Carly Wilbur serves as PSI’s Medical Director and is a board-certified pediatrician with University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated from Barnard College, Columbia University in New York City, and earned her M.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She returned to her hometown of Cleveland to complete her internship and residency at the Children’s Hospital at the Cleveland Clinic and joined University Hospitals as an attending physician and clinical instructor in 2003. Dr. Wilbur cares for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults at UH Rainbows Suburban Pediatrics with Offices in Shaker Heights and Solon, Ohio.
Heidi Poschner
Director of Health Services
As the Director of PSI’s School Health Services, Heidi oversees hundreds of staff members who provide important nursing services to students in a wide range of schools and settings. She has worked collegially with Lynn Chrostowski and others to continue building and expanding PSI’s many health services to client schools. Heidi brings many years of experience from The Cleveland Clinic, working at high levels of nursing management, to help ensure that all our students and their families receive the best nursing services available.
Heidi Poschner practiced nursing at The Cleveland Clinic for 17 years before joining the PSI team. Much of her career was spent in management providing direct care and managerial functions in a wide variety of acute and ambulatory settings, including the Cardiovascular, Digestive Diseases and Head and Neck Institutes. Since much of Heidi’s exceptional nursing career has been dedicated to management positions she obtained the Nurse Executive Certification, in addition to a Master’s in Nursing.
Heidi joined the PSI School Health Team bringing with her incredible energy and passion. She is obtaining National School Nurse Certification as well as Ohio School Nurse Licensure helping to further expand PSI’s expertise in the provision of comprehensive school health services. Heidi is one of the leads of PSI’s Employee Engagement team, is intricately involved in PSI’s Telehealth platform, “PSIConnects” in partnership with University Hospitals as well as coordinating clinical experiences for area University Programs throughout the state.
Heidi is a graduate of Cleveland State and the University of Ashland.
In another life Heidi worked as a vet tech and has immense love for animals and all things Disney.
Lynn Chrostowski, RN, MSN, NCSN
Clinic Services and Staff Manager
Lynn has been an indispensable part of the creation and growth of the PSI School Health Services Department. Throughout Lynn’s tenure with PSI she has helped guide the development and trajectory of PSI’s Health Services including working with literally thousands of staff members, hundreds of building principals and administrators. Lynn is always a source of professional consultation and guidance to parents of students receiving our health services, including those with complicated nursing needs.
Prior to working at PSI, Lynn worked in a wide variety of nursing settings including hospital & nursing administration. As a long time PSI Nurse Manager and administrator, Lynn provides the support and guidance to staff, principals and parents in the many schools we serve. “We have a great team at PSI who truly want only the best possible services for the students and schools we serve.” Lynn holds a Bachelors in Nursing from the University of Akron. In addition to these many responsibilities, she is also the mother of two children and the grandmother of two young grandchildren.
Debbie Osysko
Manager of Operations
Debbie has worked as a Registered Nurse wearing many hats in her more than 20 years at PSI from providing care in school clinics to overseeing provision of services as a Health Services Field Supervisor and more recently managing partner school contracts with the Director of Operations.
Debbie has managed various programs and has overseen the operations of the PSI Health Orientation Program and Continued Education/Staff Development for the Health Services Team. Additionally, she co-developed and ran the PSI Screenings Program now serving hundreds of schools to meet mandated requirements.
Debbie works directly with Meredith Sitko, Director of Strategy and Operations to support and assist with the overall implementation of the PSI Strategic plan and day to day operating responsibilities. Debbie’s attention to detail and unique background makes her a continued asset to PSI in her current role.
Debbie has an incredible ability to remember all the things and is a doting grandmother.
Paula Harris, RN, CNN, CHPN
Special Needs Manager
Paula specializes in services to medically fragile and disabled students requiring specialized nursing services. Paula’s extensive pediatric and nephrological background provides the Special Needs Students, their parents, and teachers with the very best professional and support services possible. “The best part of my job is watching the faces of those students who would not be able to succeed in school without the help of our specialized health staff supporting these students.”
HR and Recruiting
Jacob Farrar
Director of University Relations & Talent Acquisition
Jacob Farrar is the Director of University Relations & Talent Acquisition at PSI. In his role, he is responsible for leading the PSI recruiting team and managing the relationships with area universities in our efforts to engage with both faculty and students. Prior to PSI, Jacob was the Sr. Director of Employer Engagement for the College of Business at The University of Akron and the Director of the Gary L. and Karen S. Taylor Institute for Direct Marketing, also at The University of Akron. While at UAkron, he developed programing and relationships with the primary focus of helping students gain skills and connect with area employers.
Prior to his career in academia, he had over a dozen years of experience at some of the country’s most recognizable brands – Sony, Wyndham, and ADT Security Services. Jacob earned a Master’s degree from Northwestern University’s Integrated Marketing Communication graduate program and a Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in Marketing Communications.
Jacob and his wife, Lisa, have four children and relocated to Ohio from Central Florida. As a native of the Seattle area, Jacob enjoys being outside, participating in year-round sports activities with his family, and sports photography, as a photographer for the UAkron Athletic Department and the Northeast Ohio Golf Charities & Foundation.
Nakia Levett, SHRM-CP
HR/Recruiting Manager
Nakia serves as the HR/Recruiting Manager, leading the Human Resources Team. She has 18 years of HR experience, especially in the areas of employment law, employee relations, training and development, and compliance. Nakia served most recently as an HR consultant for over 40 clients in the Greater Cleveland/Northeast Ohio area, providing strategic HR support and guidance.
Nakia began her HR career as an HR Administrator in 2003 helping to develop policies and procedures and overseeing the recruitment and onboarding processes. Nakia has held several HR roles at various organizations, managing a diverse range of HR roles and responsibilities. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management is studying for Master’s degree in Human Resource Management and holds a Certified Professional designation from the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).
