At PSI, we know that exceptional care and student support start with exceptional people and Lisa Tohati is a perfect example of that commitment in action.
This school year, Lisa joined the PSI team to lead health services across all five campuses of Breakthrough Public Schools. Bringing valuable experience from University Hospitals along with prior work in school-based settings with PSI, Lisa stepped into her role ready to make a difference from day one.
And that’s exactly what she’s done.
According to Breakthrough, Lisa has made an immediate and positive impact across their network. Whether she’s stepping in to support a busy school clinic, guiding health initiatives, or providing leadership and direction to PSI team members, Lisa has become a steady and trusted presence in their schools.
Her approach is what truly sets her apart. Lisa combines a kind, attentive demeanor with strong organization and leadership—ensuring that students receive high-quality care while teams feel supported and aligned. She builds meaningful connections with scholars and families, creating an environment where students feel safe, seen, and cared for.
Breakthrough also recognized how Lisa embodies their core values: centering joy, cultivating belonging, communicating openly, and demonstrating an unwavering commitment to their school community. These are values we deeply share at PSI, and we’re proud to see them reflected so clearly in Lisa’s work.
Lisa’s impact is a powerful reminder of the role school health professionals play in student success. By supporting the whole child, she helps create healthier, more engaged learning environments where students can thrive.
We’re grateful to Breakthrough Public Schools for recognizing Lisa’s contributions—and even more grateful to have her as part of the PSI team.
Thank you, Lisa, for the difference you make every day.
