PSI was founded in 1977 by a group of school psychologists in the School Psychology Program at Kent State University who were committed to a philosophy of prevention in meeting regular educational, special educational and health needs for children. For more than three decades PSI has been committed to meeting the health & educational needs of children in Ohio’s schools.
Our psychological, health, speech and educational services now serve tens of thousands of children each year. PSI’s Prevention/Intervention programs were selected as a Winner of Ohio’s BEST Practices Award. The PSI’s Making the Grade! Tutoring Division was recognized by the Ohio Department of Education as an official provider of Supplemental Educational Services. PSI is also a Partner in School Improvement for those districts striving toward success in compliance with NCLB standards. Today, PSI works with our many schools throughout the Ohio to help promote success and innovation with our educational partners.
