Responsibilities

Student Support

Provide social, emotional, and behavioral support to students through counseling, crisis intervention, and targeted social skills training.

Program Development

Develop and implement school-wide programs that address key issues affecting student well-being, such as bullying prevention, mental health awareness, and family engagement.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration

Work closely with other school professionals, such as teachers, school psychologists, and counselors, to integrate support services and promote a holistic approach to student development.

Community Engagement

Establish and maintain relationships with community resources and organizations to support students’ needs outside of the school environment.

Professional Development

Stay informed about the latest research and developments in school social work and related fields to continually enhance your practice and effectiveness.

Requirements

Educational Background

Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.

Licensure

Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), as required by the state.

Experience

Proven experience in social work, preferably within a school setting or with children and adolescents.

Skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with diverse student populations, families, and professionals.
