Join PSI as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and play a pivotal role in developing and implementing behavior modification programs that significantly enhance the educational experiences of students with diverse behavioral needs. This position requires a deep understanding of behavior analysis principles and a commitment to applying these methods to foster positive behavior changes and academic success.

A Day in the Life:

  • Assessment and Planning: Start your day by reviewing behavioral data from various cases, assessing progress, and planning necessary adjustments to behavior intervention plans. 

  • Collaboration: Meet with teachers, special educators, and paraprofessionals to discuss strategies and provide training on behavioral techniques that align with students’ individualized plans. 

  • Direct Intervention: Conduct targeted behavior intervention sessions with students, applying the latest ABA techniques to encourage positive behavior changes.  

  • Consultation: Provide ongoing consultation to school staff and families, offering expert advice and support to ensure consistency in behavior management approaches across all environments.

  • Documentation and Follow-Up: End your day by documenting interventions, outcomes, and planning for follow-up sessions or meetings, ensuring comprehensive tracking of student progress. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Behavioral Assessment: Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessment findings.

  • Direct Intervention/Program Development: Conduct target behavior intervention sessions with students, applying the latest techniques to encourage positive behavior change. Design and oversee programs tailored to meet the specific needs of students.

  • Staff Training and Supervision: Provide training and supervision to RBTs (Registered Behavior Technicians) and school staff involved in implementing behavioral plans, ensuring high standards of practice.  

  • Consultation/Family Engagement: Provide ongoing consultation to school staff and families, offering expert advice and support to ensure consistency in behavior management approaches across all environments. Work with families to integrate behavioral strategies at home, enhancing the overall impact of interventions.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Document interventions, outcomes, and planning for follow-up sessions or meetings, ensuring comprehensive tracking of student progress.

  • Research and Compliance: Stay updated with the latest research in behavior analysis and ensure compliance with all legal, and professional standards.  

 

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Mater’s degree in Psychology, Behavior Analysis, or a closely related field.

  • Certification: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential required. 

  • Experience: Proven experience in designing and implementing comprehensive behavior intervention plans in school or clinical settings.  

  • Skills: Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases effectively.  

  • Professionalism: Strong commitment to ethical practice and confidentiality in handling sensitive student information.
