Employee Referral Program
Our employees are one of the strongest sources for identifying exceptional educators and support professionals. To refer a qualified candidate, please submit the individual’s name, resume if available, and contact information to our Human Resources team using the Referral Submission Form. Make sure you have the candidate’s permission before sharing their information.
At PSI, we are committed to hiring high-quality school based professionals who are caring, compassionate, and dedicated to supporting student success. We focus on building a strong network of educational talent, including teachers, intervention specialists, school psychologists, speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, school nurses, and other student support staff. Your referrals help us reach talented professionals who may not be actively seeking a new opportunity but would be an excellent fit for our partner schools.
How much can employees earn?
Referral Bonus Amounts:
- $500 for Full-Time Employees (30+hours/week)
- $250 for Part-Time Employees (14-29 hours/week)
- $100 for Limited or Substitute Positions (<14 hours/week)
Payout Structure:
- 50% of the bonus will be paid after the referred employee completes 90 days of employment.
- The remaining 50% will be paid at the end of the school year.
Prorated Referrals:
- Referrals hired after January 1 will receive prorated bonuses based on start date and hours worked.
- Be sure to submit your referral through the designated HR process.

Referral and Hiring Process
1. Submit the Referral
Provide the candidate’s full name, contact information, and any relevant documents such as a resume or certifications.
2. Initial Review
The Human Resources team will review the referral to determine whether the candidate meets the basic requirements for available school staffing roles.
3. Recruiter Outreach
A recruiter will contact the candidate to discuss their background, interests, and available opportunities within PSI’s school network.
4. Interview and Assessment
Candidates may be scheduled for interviews, credential reviews, and skill assessments depending on the position.
5. Placement Consideration
Successful candidates are matched to open positions within our partner schools based on experience, location, and current staffing needs.
6. Referral Reward
Referral bonuses are provided after the referred employee completes a designated period of employment.

Terms and Conditions:
- The referred employee must remain actively employed at the time of each payout.
- Both the referring employee and the referral candidate must be in good standing.
- Referral bonuses apply only to new hires who are not already in the applicant pipeline.
- Referral candidate must not have been employed by PSI within the past 5 years.
- The referral candidate is not currently in the interview process with PSI.
PSI’s management team has the final authority to hire and to determine if a referral will qualify for the referral bonus.
*Cash incentives are subject to required deductions and tax withholdings. These earnings will be included in the employee’s year-end gross earnings shown on the IRS W-2 Wage and Tax Statement. If the employment of the new employee or the referring employee terminates prior to the bonus payment date, no payment will be made. PSI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
