
CURRENTLY ON
THE FACULTY of the City University of New York, Dr. Marleen Kassel
has over 30 years of experience in the world of
education. Marleen has many areas of expertise, including teaching and curriculum development for all grade levels, raising
revenue for a variety of exchange programs, and international contacts in China
eager for exchange programs with schools in the United States. She offers regularly scheduled seminars on topics for school
administrators, teachers, and students.
Marleen has given presentations to
schools, nonprofit education organizations and museum education programs. She has received over 35 grants from private foundations and federal organizations
for
funding international education programs. She is PSI's CHINALINK©, having developed a unique, international program tailored to
the needs of PSI's client schools.

religion, traditional history, the Communist Revolution, and political

cultural exchange on the Silk Road through Asia and Europe.
- Popular elementary school topics are
Chinese New Year, folk stories, language units and China's Cultural day-long
or week-long programs.
- Cultural
training seminars for school professionals
help with expectations of Chinese parents, ways to communicate with
non-English speaking parents, ways to integrate students with limited
English, and strategies to channel the potential of Chinese students in your
school.
