PSI Solutions

THE CREATOR OF A SUCCESSFUL, INNOVATIVE AND UNIQUE way to stop bullying and violent behavior, Izzy Kalman is becoming more popular in schools across America. PSI is now partnering with Mr. Kalman and Cleveland State University to measure the effectiveness of his approach. All indicators point to success, though data won't be available until winter of 2007.

Mr. Kalman's Bullies2Buddies program complements many prevention and intervention programs PSI offers. Learn more about PSI’s prevention and intervention programs that can help you achieve success.

PARTNERS: Israel Kalman, Cleveland State University and PSI

Mr. Kalman, Cleveland State University and PSI are partnering to train public, non-public and charter school educators in the use of the Bullies2Buddies approach in school and at home. Evaluation studies of these types of programs within control groups demonstrate their efficacy. This exciting, new collaboration will benefit several thousand students in Northeast Ohio. Contact PSI to learn how your school can participate.

BULLYING: Answers to problems

Israel (Izzy) Kalman is a nationally certified school psychologist and national speaker. His philosophy can assist students, parents, teachers, school counselors, psychologists, social workers and principals.

Mr. Kalman’s website has numerous informative and stimulating comments on issues such as (partial list):

   Turning bullies into buddies

   Victim-proof your school

   Anger control made easy

   Sibling rivalry

   Stop thinking like a victim

  “True victim” versus “victim mentality”

   Anti-bullying state of the union

   Why punishing bullies doesn’t work

Show you are hurt, not angry

   Consequences: euphemism for punishment

PSI will arrange for Izzy Kalman or one of our trainers to work with your school to provide an in-service program for staff and, when appropriate, students. These workshops will be designed around your school’s timetable and can accommodate most budgets. To learn more, contact Isreal Kalman or call PSI at 800.841.4774,
