Finally, during the summer of 2010, she participated in an intensive training program run by the Center for Chinese Pedagogy at Indiana University and funded by a national STARTALK grant. In 2010, Tamula was chosen to direct PSI’s ChinaLink initiative and in addition to her teaching responsibilities she recently conducted two presentations in Chinese pedagogy for OFLA as well as a series of professional development offerings for PSI partner schools.

“The study of Chinese language, culture, and history is taking new prominence in the education of America’s students. All across Ohio, schools are starting Chinese programs, including a number in Summit, Portage, and Medina counties. (Through my work at PSI), I am excited to be taking part in this new enthusiasm for helping our students to open doors to opportunities in the global marketplace and diplomacy while learning about a country with such a rich history.” Contact Tamula Drumm at info@psi-solutions.org or 800-841-4774, ext. 230.
