EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT SERVICES

Colleen Lorber, Ph.D., Executive Director of Client Services

Dr. Colleen Lorber is the Executive Director of Client Services for PSI. In this capacity Dr. Lorber is responsible for all client services provided to schools throughout our many service areas. Her dedication to staff, professionalism and her high energy level serves the schools we partner with extremely well. “I most enjoy helping to find and support the best possible staff to meet the many needs of the students we serve. PSI is all about providing the very best and innovative services possible to help our partner schools and their students succeed.” She holds a doctorate from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh in School Psychology.  Dr. Lorber can be reached at ext 229.

Julie Goldyn Wood, PhD.

Julie Wood Ph.D. is the Manager of PSI’s Department of Educational Support Services. The PSI ESS Department includes Psychologists, Speech Therapists, PTs, OTs,  English as Second Language Teachers, Foreign Language Teachers,  Remedial Tutors and Teachers,  Gifted and Talented Teachers and Intervention Specialists. These professionals all provide the highest level of educational support services to the many schools PSI serves.  In addition to working with staff, Julie conducts Special & Education audits, coordinates services with school representatives and is a frequent presenter on topics such as RTI, PBS, Classroom Management, & Enhancing IAT and ETR Team Effectiveness. Robert Murray, Ed.S.

Bob Murray is PSI’s Coordinator of Psychology Services in the Non Public Schools. As a graduate of Kent State University he provides professional and logistical support and coordination to our staff of psychologists. Bob has been with PSI for over 25 years helping our staff provide the highest quality services to meet and exceed Best Practice Standards. Bob can be reached at extension 223.

Karen Heichel, Ed.S.

Karen Heichel is a graduate of Cleveland State University and has been with PSI for over 16 years. She is a PSI School Psychology Supervisor providing support to select schools throughout Northeastern Ohio. Karen serves as a valuable resource and can assist schools in the development of RTI procedures. “Helping Intervention Assistance Teams learn how to perform efficiently and effectively is one of the best parts of my responsibilities at PSI”. Linda Grimm, Ed.S

Linda has been with PSI for over 26 years, building the Psychology Department to one of the largest programs in the country. She is currently a PSI Supervisor and a PSI Regional Coordinator for Toledo, Youngstown and Dayton. “I think what I have enjoyed most is working with all the wonderful school and PSI staff. I have built life long friendships which have been strengthened through our mutual commitment to the very best professional services and possible.” Linda holds an Ed.S. from the University of South Florida and can be reached at extension 231.

Chris Worthington, M.S., Speech Supervisor

Chris Worthington has been a Speech Pathologist for over 20 years, 16 of which have been as a PSI administrator. Chris has worked at both the University level at Cleveland State University’s Department of Speech Pathology and at the elementary and secondary school level. She serves now as a Speech Field Supervisor and a resource and support to our many SLPs. Chris can be reached at extension 233.

Anita Michael, M.A., Speech Supervisor

Anita is a new Speech Field Supervisor at PSI.   She has been a Speech/Language Pathologist with PSI for 8 years, and supervised in a small capacity last year.  She received her master’s degree from Kent State University, and has experience both in private and public schools.  Anita can be reached at extension 233.

Kelly Wetula, B.S., Educational Support Services Supervisor

Kelly is a first year PSI Supervisor for our Educational Support Services. These programs include Intervention Specialists, Remedial and Title 1 Instructors, Gifted/Talented Teachers, as well as clerks.  She looks forward to working with all the Educational Specialist Staff to provide the best possible learning and support services to the students PSI serves.  Kelly is a graduate of Kent State University and has been with PSI for nine years.  She can be reached at kellywetula@psi-solutions.org.

Beth Bendokaitis, BS, Ed.S.

Beth has been a Remedial Reading Tutor for 13 years and looking forward to taking on her new role as a PSI Field Supervisor for Educational Services.  These programs include Gifted & Talented Teachers, Intervention Specialist, Remedial Instructors and a variey of other specialty teachers.  ” I am excited to begin my dual role as a tutor and supervisor with PSI. I look forward to working with our teachers helping them continue to be great educators and sharing their enthusiasm  for learning with the students.”  Beth is a graduate of Ohio University and can be reached at Extension 237.

Karen McKelvey, Ed.S.

Karen is responsible for PSI’s School Crisis Services, PSI’s extensive Professional Development programming, PSI’s School Improvement Team, Foreign Language, ESL instructors, and our many unique and award winning best practice Prevention Services. “My 18 year career at PSI has been dedicated to providing the most innovative and pertinent services possible to the schools with which we work. Assisting PSI in winning the Ohio BEST Practice Award was confirmation of the effectiveness and unique qualities of our excellent programs.”  Karen is a graduate of the University of Florida. Kay Almy, M.A.T.

As the Field Supervisor for PSI’s unique ESL Department, Kay brings her expertise to this growing program by being TESOL certified and bi-lingual in Spanish. Kay provides Staff Supervision, Compliance Auditing, Program Development and continually works toward providing PSI’s schools with best practice ESL services. “In my 5 years with PSI, I have been able to evolve from a Spanish teacher to an ESL Supervisor, fulfilling my passion for assisting limited English speaking students the very best in academic support.” Kay can be reached at extension 237.

Robin Caston, M.A., Jon Peterson/Autism Scholarship

Robin is a key part of PSI’s Jon Peterson and Autism Scholarship programs. She works closely with school staff and parents in order to fully utilize these programs in many of our schools. Previously at PSI, Robin Caston had been a Speech Supervisor and worked as a Speech Pathologist for over 18 years, meeting student’s speech needs in schools and in private practice.  She is a graduate of Kent State University and can be reached at extension 233.

SCHOOL HEALTH SERVICES

Meredith Sitko , B.Ed., CHES, RN

Meredith Sitko is one of 5 Nurse Team Managers at PSI. Meredith and the PSI Health Team are responsible for all aspects of School Health, School Wellness and Clinic Services to the many schools we serve.  “Working as a nurse or health aide can be daunting, but PSI provides tremendous training, back-up and support. School Health is both challenging and rewarding and tremendously valuable to the students and schools we serve.” Meredith is an Ohio certified Health Educator, holds the CHES certification, and is a Registered Nurse. Lynn Chrostowski, RN, M.S.N., N.C.S.N.

Lynn has been one of PSI’s Nurse Team Managers for over 18 years. She has worked in a wide variety of nursing settings including hospital & nursing administration. As a long time PSI Nurse Manager and administrator, Lynn provides the support and guidance to staff, principals and parents in the many schools we serve. “We have a great team at PSI who truly want only the best possible services for the students and schools we serve.”  Lynn is a graduate of University of Akron and can be reached at extension 225.

Paula Harris, RN, CNN, CHPN

In addition to being a PSI Nurse Manager, Paula specializes in services to medically fragile and disabled students requiring specialized nursing services. Paula’s extensive pediatric and nephrological background provides the Special Needs Students, their parents and teachers with the very best professional and support services possible. “The best part of my job is watching the faces of those students who would not be able to succeed in school without the help of our specialized health staff supporting these students.” Paula can be reached at extension 234.

 

Administrative Services

Nancy Musci, Executive Director of Administrative Services

Throughout the close to 30 years that Nancy has been with PSI, she’s served in many different capacities in our central office, including bookkeeping, human resources and administration. Nancy has helped PSI mature and develop to benefit both the schools we serve and our own growing and dedicated staff. She has been the driving force behind many of PSI’s successful expanded services to our client schools. Nancy’s commitment, intuition, and business acumen have been an indispensable part of PSI’s history and our much anticipated future. Nancy can be reached at extension 240.

Dave Lince

Dave is PSI’s Regional Coordinator for PSI services in Greater Columbus, Dayton, and Cincinnati.  He is responsible for serving as the liaison between principals and PSI staff to ensure that staff meets the schools’ needs and that the Staff and schools have all the materials and resources they need to perform their position effectively. “I love this job. It reminds me of the best of my past position as a secondary school principal. It can help staff best help students to be their best”. Dave is a graduate of Georgia Southern University. Mike Tornow, M.A., PCC

PSI is pleased to announce that Michael Tornow has joined PSI as our Coordinator of School Partnerships. Mike’s extensive experience working with two ESCs and his experience in the private sector will bring to our clients an expanded role as a liaison with PSI Coordinators, Directors and Managers.  Mike can be reached at michaeltornow@psi-solutions.org.
